On Monday 28th October 300 luminaries of the luxury industry gathered at London’s Savoy Hotel to celebrate and acknowledge those outstanding in their field at the 2019 Luxury Briefing Awards.

 Guests were treated to a champagne reception supported by renowned caviar house Attilus before being seated in the famous Lancaster Ballroom and treated to a performance from the illustrious Kit & McConnell.

 Amongst those honoured included the haute-couture fashion super-brand Ralph & Russo and fêted cosmetic company Charlotte Tilbury as well as desirable automotive legends Lotus and Aston Martin.

 The Special Awards section were preceded by a moving tribute by Sir Eric Peacock for Sunseeker Founder Robert Braithwaite CBE, DL who sadly passed away earlier this year. 

Sir Eric went on to present the Luxury Briefing Special Awards, bestowed on the most illuminating in the Global Luxury Industry.  We are especially proud to announce that deservingly one of these was for David & Alexis Lewis of the Sunseeker London Group. 

David Lewis founded Sunseeker London over 25 years ago. The Award-winning company has grown over the years and the group now extends to 42 offices in 20 countries. Robert Braithwaite, close to the couple for many decades, acknowledged that without David and his team, Sunseeker would not have grown into the iconic brand it has become today.

David and Alexis have become synonymous with the luxury brand but also for much much more. This award honours them for the impact they have made directly to a huge number of charitable causes, foundations and individuals. Their work, with support from the Sunseeker London Group has helped towards raising in excess of £10m for a host of charities.

Their support of Caudwell Children, Starlight, Teens Unite and Breast Cancer Clinical Trials in particular has seen them raise substantial funds but also plough endless time and energy into projects to make a real difference. For anyone who knows them they will recognise that their dynamic spirit, generosity, passion and very real kindness is something that should be recognised and appreciated.

David commented “Alexis and I are humbled to receive this award in front of so many respected peers from the industry. We have always recognised that we are privileged to work in the world of luxury, especially in such a pioneering and entrepreneurial country.

We feel that we must give back to those who are not as fortunate as ourselves. We are a collective of creative and passionate people and I would implore everybody in this room to look at everything we do day to day and see how we can make someone else’s life better. Thank you wholeheartedly to Sir Eric, Irene and all the wonderful team at Luxury Briefing for this award, it means a great deal to us both and to my team, without whom much of what we achieve would not be possible”.
