Ischia is a volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, lying at the northern end of the Gulf of Naples. It’s an intriguing concoction of sprawling spa towns, lavish gardens, buried necropolises and stunning scenery, with forests, vineyards and picturesque small towns.

Hidden just around the corner of Punta Licosa, southern border of the Bay of Salerno, although home to 3 UNESCO sites Cilento is considered to be one of the best-kept secrets of Italy. Sightseeing
A visit to ancient and wonderous city of Pompeii is just an easy 29km by car. Pompeii dates back to the 6th century B.C. It was totally buried following the eruption of the Vesuvius in 79 A.D.; it represents one of the main sites of the UNESCO World Heritage of Humanity and is visited by eight million tourists every year.
Further afield you can explore the city of Naples , just a 40minute drive away from Marina d’Arechi.
Just 2 hours away by high-speed train is the capital ‘Roma’ where you can spend a day of unrivalled shopping, visiting some of the world’s finest museums and galleries or visit the Vatican city.

Shopping
Shopping in Italy is always an exciting experience. Just a short distance from your marina berth you’ll discover a number of Shopping Centres. Or you can chose to stay local by indulging in hand painted pottery and ceramic crafts in Vietri sul Mare.
Salerno City Centre, including the high street and the Old Town, is reserved for pedestrians only. You can enjoy a pleasant stroll surrounded by Italian Fashion and traditional markets where you can find clothing, accessories, jewellery, books and handicrafts. Only 10 kilometres from Salerno, the medieval village of Cava dei Tirreni, with its fabulous boutiques will also welcome you into its traffic-free city centre.

Eco Friendly
Marina d’Arechi is active in promoting a consciously environmentally friendly policy. The marina is eco-friendly in its design, thanks to the use of natural materials such as the mosaic style natural rock breakwater; pier decking made of recycled wood; sustainable furnishings plus state-of-the-art water and waste recycling systems.
The marina was also awarded the Blue Flag 2016/2017 by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). The Blue Flag is granted to marine infrastructures that practice a strong environmental protection strategy, sustainable tourism, careful waste management and respectful of the surrounding natural environment.
